MŪZIKA GAISMĀ is a concert in Riga at Rīgas Lutera baznīca Torņakalnā on 7 November 2026. Beginning at 19:00, the programme combines choral voices, violin, cello and organ with a specially created light score. Performing are the Riga Orthodox Chamber Choir “Blagovest” led by founder and artistic director Aleksandrs Brandavs, violinist Aleksejs Koļesņikovs and cellist Irina Viļegžaņina. Because of Ingūna Grīnberga’s illness, organist Larisa Carjkova will perform in her place. The programme includes works by Emīls Dārziņš, Pēteris Vasks, Arvo Pärt, Dmitri Bortniansky, Alfred Schnittke, Georg Friedrich Handel, Johan Halvorsen and Alexander Grechaninov. Light artist Ivars Vācers will create a visual narrative that brings together the church architecture, colours and sound. Address: Torņkalna iela 3/5, Riga.
