The anniversary concert “Mēs varam līdzās būt” by the Jāzeps Medins Riga 1st Music School Boys’ Choir is a choir music tour of Latvia from 8 November to 9 December 2026, taking place at several venues. The choir is led by conductor Romāns Vanags and joined by vocalists Ance Krauze, Zigfrīds Muktupāvels, Jānis Aišpurs and Kārlis Būmeistars, as well as pianist and composer Uldis Marhilevičs. Local boys’ choirs will join selected songs at each location. The programme combines new and familiar works by Latvian composers, including songs from “Soldiers’ Songs”. On 8 November, the concert is at the Great Hall of Lielais Dzintars in Liepāja; on 19 November at 19:00 at Koncertzāle CĒSIS; on 6 December at 16:00 at Ventspils koncertzāle LATVIJA; and on 9 December at 19:00 at VEF Kultūras pils in Riga.
