The children's play "PUIKA AR SUNI" will take place at the Žanis Lipke Memorial in Riga on 29 November 2026. Inspired by Inese Zandere's book, the story follows Zigfrīds, the son of the renowned Jewish rescuer Žanis Lipke, who was only eight years old when his family sheltered Jews during the Nazi occupation. The play highlights the courage and unity experienced within the family, with Zigis and his loyal dog Džeris at the center. It emphasizes humanity and empathy through a child's eyes, as Zigis learns about the world and questions its order. Directed by Jānis Znotiņš, written by Ance Muižniece, with stage design by Reinis Suhanovs, and starring Emīls Krūmiņš. Recommended for children aged 8 and up.
