Izstāde “Kolektīvā atmiņa ir viss, ko es neatceros: kopīgie mirkļi” is an art exhibition in Riga at the Mākslas centrs ZUZEUM on 1 October 2026. It presents work by seven Latvian women artists from the generation commonly referred to as millennials, whose formative years were shaped by the restoration of Latvia’s independence and the period of change that followed. Their practices explore the connection between collective memory, identity and individual perceptions of the past. Drawing on personal and family experiences, the artists address 20th-century realities, personal stories, socioeconomic issues and public space. In Zuzeum’s Greenhouse and Sculpture Garden, new works and projects not previously shown in Latvia span photography, analogue film and object installations. The exhibition is the second part of a broader project and concludes Czech curator Diana Kotmela Kněžínková’s doctoral research.
