DOCENTES is a theatre play in Riga at Jaunais Rīgas teātris, running from 6 November to 13 December 2026. The production explores the modern university and the boundaries between research, education and the shaping of socio-political views. For social psychology professor Johanna, a study of the workplace climate becomes a personal test when the university rector wants to change its narrative. Combining social criticism with elements of humour, the play examines a scientist’s responsibility and integrity. Written by Finnish playwright Juha Jokela and directed by Linda Zaharova, it features Guna Zariņa, Sandra Kļaviņa, Elita Kļaviņa, Evelīna Priede, Ivars Krasts and Ričards Murāns.
