The open-air exhibition “Mārtiņš Buclers. Fotogrāfs, fotorūpnieks, pedagogs, izdevējs” takes place in Sigulda, at Sigulda Railway Station Square, on 9 July 2027. Created by the Turaida Museum Reserve, the exhibition is dedicated to the 160th anniversary of photographer, public figure, publisher and industrialist Mārtiņš Buclers. The exhibition opening is scheduled for 10 July at 15:00. The display explores Buclers’ life and work, his first photography workshop in Sigulda, his photographs and postcards, the production of “Rekordplates” photographic plates and “Bromrekords” photographic paper, and his contribution to the development of photography in Latvia. Exhibition creators: Maira Dudareva, Ieva Stūre, Erlands Rubīns, Ija Kivlina, Anete Jenča and Egils Jemeļjanovs.
