ART is a comedy by Yasmina Reza in Daugavpils, at Daugavpils Theatre’s Experimental Stage, from 1 to 13 December 2026. The play follows three friends whose fifteen-year harmony is shaken when one of them buys a white painting with white lines for 30,000 euros. Serge considers it art, Marc calls it rubbish, while Yvan would rather stay out of the argument. Behind the dispute about the painting lie deeper questions about taste, love and friendship. Directed by Vadim Bogdanov, with set and costume design by Egils Viļumovs and lighting by Sergejs Vasiļjevs. The cast includes Egils Viļumovs, Ritvars Gailums and Marģers Eglinskis. The performance lasts 2 hours, is in Latvian and is suitable for audiences aged 14 and over.
