Alberts Kronbergs “TUNTUĻU JURĪTIS”
Alberts Kronbergs’ “TUNTUĻU JURĪTIS” is a theatre play in Jūrmala at the Jūrmalas teātris, Lielā zāle, on 22 November 2026. Four farm girls are preparing Christmas presents — toys — at a country homestead. When the work becomes too repetitive, they begin playing with the dolls they have made, and the story of little Jurītis begins. Everyone loves and spoils him despite the troubles he gets into: he will not become a good pig herder, but he does save an angry goat from being sold, faces a frightening mushroom-picking adventure and disappears in a snowstorm on the way to church on Christmas Eve. Dolls and direction: Inguna Radziņa. The farm girls are Ravita Rozīte, Sandija Didrihsone, Dace Umbraško and Linda Rozīte. Music and sound for the story were created by Ainis Rudzītis, Dāvis Putāns and Ģirts Alsters.
