Ā.Alunāna Jelgavas teātra izrāde “Sirds nepacietība” is a drama in Jelgava at Jelgavas Kultūras nams from 9 to 10 January 2027. Performed in one part, the production is based on motifs from Stefan Zweig’s psychological novel. Set shortly before the First World War, it explores how compassion can be distinguished from love, whether pity and self-sacrifice can coexist, and how genuine feelings differ from the heart’s impatience to escape the burden of another person’s suffering. The dramatization is written and directed by Lolita Muižniece. The cast includes Jānis Dūrējs, Juris Bandenieks, Raina Šmelde, Līga Martinenko, Uldis Timma, Andris Jakovelis and Artūrs Vasiļjevs.
