The vocal chamber music concert “Ticot un mīlot” will take place on 11 December 2026 at Collegium Musicum Riga concert hall in Riga. This intimate evening by candlelight brings together the human voice and harpsichord for a close musical dialogue. The programme features 17th-century vocal chamber music, including works by French Baroque composers Michel Lambert and Marc-Antoine Charpentier, as well as Italian masters Monteverdi, Merula, Strozzi, Francesca Caccini and Giulio Caccini. Soprano Monta Martinsone will join harpsichordist and conductor Māris Kupčs. The concert promises a rich emotional palette, from quiet contemplation to light and hope. The venue’s historic Old Town setting and candlelit ambiance create a uniquely personal atmosphere, allowing the audience to experience the music up close.
