VĪNES MEŽA STĀSTI is a satirical melodrama in two parts at Liepāja Theatre in Liepāja from 21 November 2026 to 7 January 2027. The production’s dramaturge is Justīne Kļava, it is directed by Elmārs Seņkovs and based on a play by Ödön von Horváth. On a shopping street, eco-toy seller Marianne meets Alfred, an investor addicted to sports betting. They leave their wealthy partners to follow love amid inflation, protests from conservative family members and the threat of populism. The play examines responsibility, public image, clichés and simplified solutions. The cast includes Santa Breikša, Rolands Beķeris, Karīna Tatarinova and others. Set and costumes are by Marija Ulmane, with music by Edgars Mākens.
