Vestards Šimkus. Ferenca Lista romantiskā klaviermūzika

The solo concert “Vestards Šimkus. Ferenca Lista romantiskā klaviermūzika” takes place on 24 January 2027 at Piena muiža Berghof in Sieksāte. Acclaimed Latvian pianist Vestards Šimkus has dedicated the programme to Ferenc Liszt, one of the most legendary composers and pianists of the 19th century. The programme features Liszt’s virtuosic Romantic piano music, while Šimkus will also share stories about the composer and his music. The concert offers an opportunity to encounter Liszt’s work through both performance and storytelling, as well as to learn about the role Liszt’s music played in Šimkus’s own decision to devote his life to music.
