Veloopera “Kurzemes Šveicē” is an experimental music opera in Rīga at SunsStudio, running from 23 October to 11 December 2026. Kaspars Rolšteins’ artwork is shaped as a spy thriller about secret-organisation agents and professional cyclists who, due to GPS interference, arrive in Kurzeme’s Switzerland rather than Switzerland itself. The three-part performance is presented as a performance rather than a dramatic theatre production. The cast includes Elizabete Balčus, Eleonora Kampе, Leo Novus, Katrīna Dambeniece, Alīna Burlakova, Marta Marija Silāre and Māris Žigats, together with Kaspars Rolšteins. The score develops the distinctive sound of electronic instruments.
