Valmieras teātra viesizrāde COSMOPOLITAN is a theatre performance taking place in Riga at Dailes Theatre Grand Hall from 14 to 15 October 2026. Directed by Andress Noormets, the cast features actors from Valmiera and Viljandi's "Ugala" theatre. The story unfolds at a motel on the Estonian-Latvian border, where two strangers from different backgrounds encounter each other, leading to 24 hours of misunderstandings, humour and cultural clashes. The play is performed in Latvian, Estonian, English and Russian, with subtitles in Latvian and Estonian (best viewed from row 7 and up). The production is a collaboration between Valmiera and Ugala theatres within the Tartu 2024 European Capital of Culture programme.
