Theatre performance "TU BŪSI MANA!" will take place at Valmieras teātris Jaunā zāle in Valmiera on 17 October 2026. This mythical drama in two parts explores Latvian cinema icons and how films have shaped perceptions of gender roles. Created by director Jānis Znotiņš and playwright Ance Muižniece, the production is inspired by Inga Pērkone's research on archetypes in Latvian film. Audiences will recognise familiar characters from well-known Latvian movies, transformed through different eras to highlight diverse relationship models and unexpected plot twists, from silent cinema to the present day. The cast includes Ģertrūde Rubins, Rihards Jakovels, Artis Jančevskis, among others. Supported by the Boris and Ināra Teterev Foundation.
