On 25 October 2026, the Operetta Theatre will present the show "Parīzes bohēma" at the Great Hall of Liepāja Theatre. This is the first eco-fashion operetta production in Latvia, inspired by Imre Kálmán’s operetta "The Violet of Montmartre." The story transports audiences to Montmartre, the bohemian world of artists and dreamers, where passions, ambition, and seduction shape destinies. Director Sonora Vaice transforms the operetta into a contemporary blend of musical theatre, dance, and high fashion, with costumes reflecting nature’s forms. Kálmán’s music receives a Parisian jazz interpretation, bridging classic operetta and modern stage art.
