Met Opera: Otello, a live opera screening, takes place in Riga at Forum Cinemas PEPSI auditorium on 24 April 2027. One of today’s leading dramatic tenors, Brian Jagde, takes on the title role in Verdi’s monumental opera, joined by soprano Ailyn Pérez as Desdemona and baritone Artur Ruciński as Iago. The Metropolitan Opera orchestra and chorus are conducted by Michele Mariotti. Broadcast worldwide, this performance highlights both the music’s dramatic depth and the vocal artistry of its cast, offering the central Verdi–Shakespeare masterpiece on the big screen in a single evening event.
