MĒDEJA is Euripides’ tragedy in Valmiera at KURTUVE, the contemporary art space, running from 8 November 2026 to 6 January 2027. Directed by Reinis Suhanovs, the production revisits the more than 2,000-year-old myth of Medea and raises ethical and existential questions about passion, betrayal and the destruction of a family. The creative team includes set and costume designer Monika Korpa, choreographer Linda Mīļā, lighting designer Oskars Pauliņš and composer Jēkabs Nīmanis. The cast features Māra Mennika, Anna Nele Āboliņa, Kārlis Freimanis and other actors. The venue is at Rīgas iela 25a, Valmiera.
