The lecture “Atkarības sekas un agrīna atpazīšana” takes place on 13 October 2026 at the Dienas centrs “Iespēju māja”, Rīgas iela 1, Sigulda. It is the second session in a three-part lecture series for parents and other adults involved in children’s daily care. From 18:00 to 20:00, Agris Starts, a certified supervisor, mediator, lecturer and addiction counsellor, will discuss the short- and long-term consequences of addiction and its impact on physical and mental health, studies, behaviour, relationships and the family system. The lecture will also address changes in thinking and behaviour as addiction develops, warning signs for parents and when professional help is needed.
