KINO/ SMĀRTIJS UN ES is a feature film in Daugavpils at Daugavpils Kultūras Pils on 4 October 2026. The film follows 13-year-old Franka, whose life appears perfect from the outside, while she is actually coping with her parents’ arguments and bullying by her peers. When an abandoned dog enters her life, it becomes her only source of support and hope for change. This empathetic story about friendship between a person and an animal explores loneliness, family relationships and teenage mental health, showing how important it is not to be afraid to ask for help. The film is dubbed in Latvian and Russian, with Latvian subtitles.
