The play "KAIJA. IZMEKLĒŠANA" will take place in Daugavpils at Daugavpils Theatre's Great Hall on 16 October 2026. This production combines works by Anton Chekhov and Boris Akunin—reconstructing the classic play in the first part, and then offering Akunin’s interpretation with six possible scenarios exploring developments and past events. Performed mainly in Russian with some scenes in Latvian, and Latvian subtitles provided. The performance consists of three acts with two intermissions and lasts around 3 hours and 15 minutes.
