Jauniešu koris Kamēr... MIERĪGS VAKARS
The Jauniešu koris Kamēr... concert “MIERĪGS VAKARS” takes place in Rīga at Vecā Sv. Ģertrūdes baznīca on 28 November 2026. The programme centres on Edith Stein, the Jewish-born philosopher and Carmelite nun Saint Teresa Benedicta of the Cross. It includes parts of Paweł Łukaszewski’s cycle Hommage à Edith Stein, Leonard Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms, Benjamin Britten’s Rejoice in the Lamb and Morten Lauridsen’s O magnum mysterium. The music brings together spiritual traditions, personal searches for faith and reflection on hope before Advent. The choir is led by artistic director and chief conductor Jurģis Cābulis, with organist Aigars Reinis, percussionist Reinis Tomiņš and harpist Elizabete Gulbe. Ivars Vācers creates the lighting concept, shaping the concert’s atmosphere within the church architecture.
