Filma: Uļa is a feature film screened in the courtyard of the Smiltene District Culture Centre in Smiltene from 16 to 22 September 2026. Set in 1960s Latvia, it tells the story of Uļa, a teenage girl who enters the world of professional basketball and faces the choice between hiding from the world or accepting herself and fighting for her dream. Screenings take place outdoors over the course of a week, giving audiences a chance to experience a coming-of-age sports drama in a historical Latvian setting.
