Baltijas Drāmas forums 2026: Baltijas jaunās dramaturģijas lasījumi

Baltijas Drāmas forums 2026: Baltijas jaunās dramaturģijas lasījumi is a play-reading event in Riga at the Eduarda Smiļģa Theatre Museum on 7 November 2026. Playwrights from the Baltic states will present entirely new, not yet staged plays and ideas for planned productions. Their work reflects on our time, feelings, relationships and current issues in society, while exploring how different experiences and perceptions shape Baltic dramaturgy. The readings are also a space for meetings and discussion: visitors can ask the authors questions, clarify ideas and share suggestions about developing the works for the stage. The event is held in English and moderated by Laurs Kaunisāre from Estonia and Evarts Melnalksnis from Latvia.
