The screening of the animated film “Mana tēva noslēpumi” and a conversation with Michel Kichka will take place on 14 October 2026 at the Liepāja Occupation Museum, K. Ukstiņa iela 7/9, Liepāja. Directed by Véra Belmont, the film is based on Michel Kichka’s autobiographical graphic novel and follows two brothers whose father remains silent about his past. It explores how Holocaust survivors’ experiences affect later generations, family memory and relationships. The film runs for 74 minutes and will be shown in French with Latvian subtitles. After the screening, the conversation will be held in English with Latvian interpretation, with an opportunity for questions and reflections.
