Tiešsaistes lekcija "Vācu impresionisms: gaismas un krāsas skatījums" will take place via ZOOM live stream on 15 October 2026. The lecture explores how German Impressionism developed under French influence while retaining its national character and connection with Realism. It considers the more restrained and reflective style used by artists to depict city life, landscapes, portraits and everyday scenes. German Impressionism is also presented as an important transitional stage between 19th-century Realism and the expressive art of the 20th century.
