Tiešsaistes lekcija "Vācu impresionisms: gaismas un krāsas skatījums" takes place via ZOOM tiešraide on 11 October 2026. The lecture explores how German Impressionism developed under French influence while retaining its national character and connection with realism. It considers the more restrained and reflective style used by artists to depict city life, landscapes, portraits and everyday scenes. The programme also examines German Impressionism as an important transition from 19th-century realism to the expressive art of the 20th century.
