“Backstage of Life” is an international poetry and contemporary music concert project in Sigulda, at Turaida Evangelical Lutheran Church, on 17 October 2026. The programme features works by Diana Gheorghiu, Mihai Murariu, Harry O’Connor and Latvian composers, performed by Romanian and Latvian musicians together with poet Aleksandra Line, whose English-language poetry provides the basis for the musical material. Music, poetry and improvisation explore the creative process through three states: sketch, structured composition and controlled improvisation. Subtle lighting dramaturgy and short musical and poetic interludes accompany the performance. No special knowledge is required; curiosity is enough. Admission is with a Turaida Museum Reserve ticket.
