Kritiskās domāšanas darbnīca is a critical-thinking workshop in Daugavpils, held at the Latgale Central Library’s US Information Centre on 28 October 2026 at 11:00. It will be led by teacher and education expert Elīza Spilnere. The workshop is especially suited to librarians and other information specialists, as well as anyone who wants to strengthen their media-literacy and critical-thinking skills. Participants will learn to distinguish reliable information from misleading or deliberately false content and navigate the digital environment more safely. Special attention will be given to the impact of artificial intelligence on opinions and decisions, the reliability of AI-generated content, source checking, copyright, young people’s learning, and the role of expertise in work and education. Participation is free, places are limited, and registration is open until 27 October. Photography and filming may take place for publicity and historical purposes.
