Filma | Ceļš nekad nebeidzas is a film event in Smiltene at the Cinema Hall of Smiltene Municipality Culture Centre, from 13 to 23 November 2026. The film tells the story of legendary Latvian mountaineer Teodors Ķirsis (1942–2003), who sought to reach the world’s highest peaks carrying the flag of the newly restored Latvia and became one of the most prominent symbols of Latvia after the restoration of independence. It is a story about the peaks of life and the world. The film is in Latvian, Russian and English, with English subtitles and Latvian subtitles where foreign languages are spoken.
