Once a year, the band “Big Al & The Jokers” delights their audience with a special concert. Fans of the group and rock and roll music look forward to these rare performances, joining the musicians for musical discoveries and a break from routine. Each year, the band surprises listeners with new artistic nuances and unwavering energy. For 13 years, the group has performed with the same members: Romāns Vendiņš (piano), Raitis Aukšmuksts (drums), Juris Skrajāns (guitar), Pēteris Liepiņš (double bass), Eduards Raubiško and Zintis Žvarts (saxophones), Sandris Skeranskis (trumpet), Vadims Dmitrijevs (trombone), and frontman Aļģirdas Šuminskas, known as “Big Al.” The band remains creatively active and continues to surprise with new concert programs. In June 2026, “Big Al & The Jokers” performed for the first time in the USA at the Kennedy Center in Washington and Virginia, celebrating the 250th anniversary of US independence.
