Austrālijas putnu balsis is a concert taking place in Riga at the Melngalvju nams, Svētku zāle on 28 October 2026. The programme features flute virtuoso Genevieve Lacey, the Latvian Radio Choir, and conductor Kaspars Putniņš. Audiences will hear music spanning several centuries—from Renaissance polyphony and Romantic works to contemporary pieces by Australian and Latvian composers, including compositions created especially for this programme that feature a dialogue between bird song and the human voice. Works by Arvo Pärt, Pēteris Vasks, Ēriks Ešenvalds, Felix Mendelssohn, and others will be performed. This concert marks the start of the artists' joint tour in Australia.
