Ziemas peldēšanas sezonas atklāšana is a sports event in Liepāja at Ziemas peldvieta Beberliņos on 11 October 2026. The VeloRonis association invites experienced winter swimmers, newcomers to cold-water swimming and those who are still considering taking up the practice to open the new season together. During the event, a new house on the water will be unveiled. It has been created and adapted for winter swimmers, providing another place to meet, warm up, regain strength and spend time together before or after a swim. The event starts at 13:00. A heated sauna will be available; visitors are encouraged to bring warm tea in a thermos and a snack.
