XVI Starptautiskais tautas kultūras festivāls “Baltkrievu gadatirgus Daugavpilī” is a folk culture festival taking place on 24 October 2026 at Vienības nams, Rīgas iela 22A, Daugavpils. Amateur ensembles from Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and Poland will perform. Bread, a symbol with deep sacred meaning and a special place in human life, will be at the centre of the main concert. Belarusian folk and original songs about grain, bread and native homes will combine with dance and poetry. Visitors can see Velta Loce’s latest works, explore an autumn harvest exhibition and learn homemade jam and winter-preserve recipes from Belarusian community hosts. The programme also includes workshops in the traditional “nabivanka” printing technique, “vicinanka” paper cutting and protective doll making. Filming and photography will take place during the event for publicity and historical purposes.
