The exhibition explores the development of Italian contemporary ceramics from the post-war era to the present. For the first time in Latvia, visitors will see a collection specially selected for Riga from the Faenza Museum of Ceramics, offering new perspectives on Italian and international ceramic art. The display highlights Italy's unique input in the field of ceramics, combining sculpture, design, and materiality. Featuring works by 50 authors, the exhibition spans fifty years of artistic evolution, from early pioneers to notable 21st-century artists. The concept is grounded in the idea of creative obsession, reflecting artists’ passionate approach to ceramics. Visitors can expect innovative ideas, unusual forms, and original technical solutions. The exhibition introduces works by Lucio Fontana, Fausto Melotti, Leoncillo Leonardi, and other contemporary artists.
