Exhibition "Mama: Mother Nature"
This exhibition showcases works that highlight ecological changes, collective cultural memory, and the fragile balance between human activity and the Earth's life systems. "Mama: Mother Nature" serves as a global art platform offering space to reflect on the connections between culture, environment, and collective responsibility. First presented at the Heydar Aliyev Center in Baku during the 2024 COP29 Climate Conference, the project has developed into an international initiative, expanding dialogue and including new perspectives with each venue. The Riga edition at Zuzeum Art Museum has special significance, combining Baltic cultural heritage with contemporary European discourse. The selection of works from the Zuzāns Collection represents both Baltic and international artistic viewpoints. The exhibition is designed as both a visual and intellectual experience, inviting visitors to perceive nature as a living system shaped by memory, vulnerability, and resilience. A dedicated section features artworks by children, highlighting the younger generation's awareness of the environment and emphasizing the importance of intergenerational dialogue.
